What To See? The Palm Island are an artificial archipelago in Dubai. it’s heralded as the 8th wonder of the world as it can be seen from space along with another major landmark. The islands were intended to be developed with tailor-made hotel complexes and luxury villas, and sold to millionaires. They are off the coast of Dubai and accessible by yacht or motor boat. The project took just four years to complete and each island required nearly 12 million pounds of rock and more than 53 million pounds of sand from the ocean floor to construct. The state-owned company Nakheel developed plans for three palm islands and the multi-islet World.
